Ari is situated 30 km from Pescara and 25km from Chieti, in an enchanted location among the greenest woods, right below the mighty Maiella mountain.
It has an altitude of about 289 mt above sea level and its territory, of about 11,19 km2, is adjacent to the towns of Villamagna and Miglianico to the north, Filetto and Orsogna to the South, Vacri to the East, Canosa Sannita and Giuliano Teatino to the West. Its surroundings are filled with vineyards and olive trees, which provide the beautiful colours which
make the perfect landscape that is Abruzzo.
Ari is an interesting and pleasant place to visit, thanks to its historic centre and countless statues which represent the most important moments in Ari’s and Italy’s history.
Miglianico has a surface of about 22,59 km2 and an altitude of about 136 mt above sea level, apart from its central residence district, it expands into 8 zones: Cagialone, Cerreto, Collemarino, Elcine, Foreste, Montupoli, Piane San Pantaleone and Valle Sant’ Angelo. Its neighbouring towns are Ripa Teatina to the North, Francavilla al Mare to the East, Tollo to the South, Villamagna to the West. With Time, Miglianico grew around its town’s well-known fortress, as the monumental castle ruins show (it seems to be dated around the 10th-11th century) It remained damaged in the last world war and has now been restored, making it ancient but beautiful and most of all liveable quarters.
In the last few years, Miglianico has achieved fame throughout Italy for both its
Cantina Sociale (Social Winery) which produces excellent wines such as the Fondatore or the Montupoli, and its
Golf Club: about 7 km from our location.
The climate is typically Mediterranean, with mild summers and winter and most precipitations occurring in autumn and spring.
